25 Apr St. Rocco’s Challenge
Sharples are delighted to announce that we have signed up to The St.Rocco’s Corporate Challenge! A chance to raise money for a worthwhile cause and have some fun in the process, the aim of the St. Rocco’s Corporate Challenge is to raise as much money as possible for the St. Rocco’s Hospice over the course of a year.
Each company that participates is given £50 to kickstart their fundraising, and the challenge is to turn that £50 into a much greater total by the end of the year.
St. Rocco’s Hospice has been established in Warrington for 28 years and provides specialist care for patients with cancer and other life threatening illnesses. Their aim is to help everyone have the best quality of life by providing care and support in a friendly, relaxed environment. They help hundreds of patients and their families in Warrington each year, providing clinical treatment, emotional and spiritual support, sympton control, nursing care and complementary therapies all in a purpose built environment.
What are we doing?
During May we’re running “dress down Friday”, with participating members of staff donating £1 each time they don their “dress down glad rags”! May also sees team member and top baker Tracey Cowton tempting us will all sorts of goodies at a bake sale. Move over Mary Berry!
And we’re proud to announce that Colette Sanson is representing Sharples at the Starlight Ladies Walk on 21st June.
Now in its eighth year, the Starlight Walk is the main event in St. Rocco’s fundraising calendar. Ladies can walk either a 6.5 or 13 mile circuit of a well-marshalled route through Warrington Town Centre, Latchford, Padgate and Orford, starting at midnight! It’s a fabulous night out, and a great chance to raise money for the hospice.
