16 Aug Sharples Recruits Two Apprentices
Two apprentices recently joined Sharples in order to complete their level 3 qualifications and now they’ve had a couple of months to settle in, we asked Abbey and Rebecca to tell us a bit more about themselves. Here’s what they told us…
Abbey Lindon
If you could sum yourself up in one paragraph, what would it be?
I believe that I am a lively and friendly person who likes to work as a team. In my opinion I believe that I am a very well organised person who likes to keep on top of all of her workload and ensure it is completed within the time frame and to a high standard. I can deliver very good written and verbal communication skills as well as a high standard of customer service.
Do you have any hobbies?
I like to spend my mornings at the gym with my mum working to beat each other during gym classes as well as Personal Bests! I also like to go running in the evening and I have a real passion for technology, I enjoy working on computers and using the Internet.
What are your aspirations?
My future aspirations have always been to work my way up a business and become either a manager or hold a high role within a business.
Since my start at Sharples, I believe that I will work with this company for many years as it has the perfect job role for me!
Abbey is Studying for Level 3 in Customer Service
Abbey’s qualification to be awarded is the NCFE Level 3 Diploma in Customer Service. There are 6 mandatory units and a combination of optional units for the QCF award.
The Personal Learning and thinking skills are essential for demonstrating and understanding the importance of excellent customer service and promoting the key unique aspects of the business.
During the Diploma Abbey will understand the customer service environment, resolve customer problems, manage personal and professional development and understand customers and customer retention.
Role within the business
Consumable Ordering, Invoicing and Service Support.


Rebecca Cameron
If you could sum yourself up in one paragraph, what would it be?
A fun, outgoing person with determination to do and be the best I can be. I enjoy working hard but I also like to not taking life too seriously and having a good time with friends and family.
Do you have any hobbies?
I compete for England in Karate, on both the Official United World Karate England Squad and SSKA England squad. I have been participating in this sport for 12 years, which has led me to be a second dan black belt so far and also gain a European and World title. I now pass on my knowledge and experience to the younger and older generations as I teach at Woolston Karate Club.
What are your aspirations?
I want to have a fun and challenging career which keeps me on my toes. I want to be able to work hard to achieve goals and to put myself in a good position in a career which I can be proud I have achieved.
Rebecca is studying for Level 3 in Business Administration
Rebecca’s qualification to be awarded is the NCFE Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration. There are 5 mandatory units and a combination of optional units for the QCF award. The skills learnt are essential for contributing and participating confidently in life, learning & work. During the Diploma Rebecca will understand the principles of business, communication and information, principles of administration and learn to manage her personal and professional development.

Meter Readings, Invoicing and Sales Support.
