Sharples Group is proud to announce that Aimee Timmins has been shortlisted for the SME Finance Director of the Year in the NW Finance Awards
Showcasing excellence in the finance industry across the region, the NW Finance Awards are designed to recognise businesses, teams and
individuals, with a highly experienced panel of judges who select from a wide variety of nominations from all levels and industries.
“I am truly honoured to be recognised for this prestigious award,” said Aimee, who has been with Sharples since 2002. “We have been working really hard as a team over the past 12 months to implement new accounting processes. Despite the recession and in-house changes, we have increased turnover from £2.2 to £ 3.1 million, and it is great to be formally recognised for all of our efforts.”
After working together for 13 years, David Griffiths made the nomination and was first to extend his congratulations to Aimee. “It was genuinely difficult to condense all that Aimee has done into one entry form. Not only has Aimee made massive improvements to the accounting function, but she is also responsible for the company’s commercial contracts, human resources, health and safety, fleet management, building and maintenance and the company pension scheme. Besides this, Aimee also identifies and develops business opportunities and manages projects. It is brilliant to see her hard work and contribution being acknowledged. The other entrants face some stiff competition!”
